Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
On Sat night, I had a Milaad Shareef at my place, and Al humdu Lillah everything went as planned.
I heard a a couple of things that I am hoping someone can provide references to.
Statement 1
An angel is enlisted to pray for everyone present in Milaad Shareef Majlis (gathering) til the day of Qiyamah.
Statement 2
At any majlis where 3 hadiths of Prophet Mohammed Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam are mentioned, then it becomes Wajib to read/recite durood and Salaam on Prophet Mohammed Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam. If not, then an angel is enlisted to curse everyone present in such a Majlis (gathering) til the day of Qiyamah.
I am more concerned about the latter point, as I have been to a couple of Quran Daras programs, where there is Tafseer of a Surah, and a couple of references to Hadiths. However, no Salaam was done.
I've heard about the below Hadith, and I can relate to the seriousness of not reciting Durood/Sallam on Prophet Mohammed Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam.
Hadith:
On one occasion the sahaba Radi Allahu anhu brought the pulpit to the Prophet (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam). As the Prophet (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) climbed each of the three steps he (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) said Ameen. After the Prophet (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) finished with his sermon and came back down the sahaba asked him (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam): “Oh! Messenger of Allah, we have heard something from you that we have not heard from you before.” He (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) replied “Verily Jibreel alayhis 'salam came to me as I took the first step and said “Far away (cursed) is he who witnessed ramadhan and did not attain forgiveness”. And so I replied Ameen, so when I took the second step Jibreel alayhis 'salam said “Far away (cursed) is he who when your (Oh! Mohammad) name is mentioned he does not say salah upon you”. And when I took the third step Jibreel alayhis 'salam said “Far away (cursed) is he who witnessed both his parents or one of them in old age, and he did not enter Jannah because of them”. [Narrated by Tabarani, Ismael Al-Qadhi, and also Bukhari but with slightly different wording].
If someone can shed some light on the above two statements that would be great. Please advise me if I should post this thread in the "Ask Imaam" section.
Jazzak Allahu Khairan.
