Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
dear Imam sahib,
when do niyaah for namaaz where should one's hands be? as a child i learnt to keep them in my burkha by my shoulders while doing niyaah and then when reciting Allah-Hu-Akbar touch the ears.
but i have read on the main website that a womens hands should only go to her shoulders when reciting Allah-Hu-Akbar, so where should the hands be before that when reciting niyaah?
Jazakallah Khair for your time and knowledge.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam Not a great big issue. for the purposes of khushu' khudu', khulus, and neki, the women should have their hands, by their side, just as the men do, and should only be raised once you recite the takbir (Allahu Akbar). May Allah the Almighty give us all the tawfiq to pray correct, and prescribed salah, until our dying day, and beyond. (Amin). Jazak'allah for your question. Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM.
