Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam There is nothing wrong with eating food that has been left over from a five year old. The reason for this synopsis, is that we are at an age and day where we use so many things without having the thought of everything that goes to waste. I know that there are people out there who would be delighted to eat from the food that we would otherwise would have thrown away. Islam, is about taking others into consideration, this is why it is barakah to clean the plate after which one has eaten. Similar principles apply to the use of water, paper, and time etc. It is a sunnah for a woman to eat from the same plate as her husband, as is proven in ahadith-e-mubarikah related to The Beloved Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam and Hadrat 'A'isha Siddiqah Radi Allahu anha. However, the principles of eating in a sunnah manner must also be applied. Jazak'allah for your question. Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
