As salam alaikum imam sahib i am planning to get a dog. at first everyone in my house is like no its haram and all but i went online and started reading about dogs in islam i came across a lot of website's said that dogs arent totally haram but dog is allowed in certain restructions and conditions like if you are keeping a dog for a specefic perpous. i know i want to keep a dog for guarding my house i know allah is the one who is everything but i read sura al Khaf (the cave). according to the sura al khaf in the qran it was said that allah told you can have a dog only for a purpose for like hunting or guarding. i am telly you imam sahib that at night i pray dua and since my unty's house got robbed. from that day i was so scared i want to know about having a dog i know that we can keep a dog out side the house but can you please advice on having a dog inside and also outside please i know its a stupid question but please help me
