Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam The four imams are haqq. They are the compilers of the ahadith of the Beloved Messenger Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam. They were in the times closer to the Beloved Messenger Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, closer than ours. They were better than any of us in our time, the time before us, and in the time before us up to their time. They were the best. They were the paragons of beauty, excellent in knowledge, great in obedience, thorough in religion, beautiful in learning, then best amongst men, and the closest to Allah the Almighty. It is because of this that we rely on their sayings, especially those related to the Beloved Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam. Allah the Almighty states: 'Qul in kuntum tuhubbunallaha fattabi' uni yuhbibkumullah''Say oh Beloved Messenger Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, if you love Allah the Almighty, follow me, and Allah the Almighty will love you'.Also: 'Ihdinas sirat-al-Mustaqim, sirat alladhina an'amta 'alayhim''Show us the Straight Path, that Path which you bestow favour with'. also: 'ati'ullaha war rasul'. 'And follow Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, and His Beloved Messenger Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa SallamSince all the four Imams were the best believers of their time, and they had so much love for the Beloved Messenger Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, that they had their worldly lives diconnected to having religion before it, and because they were on the True Path, as is stated in the above verses of the Qur'an, to follow them, is to follow Allah and His Beloved Messenger Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam. Not only in matters of fiqh were they the leaders, but they were perfect examples of the Beloved Messenger Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, in all matters, concerning from being born, until death. This can be seen in the books of fiqh by the four imams, which are extensive in nature, knowledge, light, power, sincerity, faith, practice, devotion, obedience, and all other aspects of Islam. For another example, please refer to the following link: ashraf786.proboards15.com/index.cgi?board=fiqh&action=display&thread=14421Jazak'allah for your question. Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM.
