Assalamalaykum,
Is it permissable to sit in a ruhani sama mehfil where there are no women, a pir sahab present and kalaam is prayed with the tradtional duff and peti.
What are the views of hadrat on this?
I know there is a sama mehfil in kichocha sharif at the urs but is it permissable to hold a gathering in england and have an urs or mehfil

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam It is ja'iz, but Hadrat would probably not approve of this, as they themselves have a distinct view of their own. They would probably say that the money and the time and effort could be well spent on something much better, as opposed to something which is a liesure activity which is ja'iz. Examples of these could be dhikr/fikr, Qur'an recitation, Khatam-e-khawajagan, takrir/ tahlil/tasbih etc. It is their way of putting things forward, without hurting anybody. Jazak'allah for your question. Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
