Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam
Most respected Imam I make dua you are well. Respected Imam is it Islamically correct for a non-Muslim/Muslim woman to be the leader of a country [either Islamic or not]? Or at least to be the minister in a certain department? And why?
JazakAllahu khayr Wassalamu 'alaykum

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam Islamically, a woman cannot rule or govern a country, as the right to rule or governance has been given to men. However, the woman can be involved in politics, they can become ministers, and they can fight an election, as there is not many Muslims regardless of them being male or female, who have these positions, compared to some of the kuffar, or other countries like America, Israel, England, etc. Jazak'allah for your question.
