Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam Some of the deeds that you perform on normal days carry the same reward as those performed on the jummah day. However, there are some deeds which carried out on the day of jummah, which carry more reward than those on a normal day. The following hadith is a reference for this point: 'It is narrated from Hadrat Abu Hurayra Radi Allahu anhu, that the Beloved Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam stated that 'Whoever had a bath on the day of jummah, like the bath you have when you are impure, then went for his jummah salah, it is like he made a sacrifice for a camel, and whoever went in the second instance, it is like he gave a sacrifice of a cow. Whoever went in the third instance, it is like he gave a sacrifice of a ram with horns, and whoever went in the fourth instance, it is like he gave in alms (sadaqah) a hen, and whoever went in the fifth instance, it is like he gave an egg in alms (sadaqah).
When the imam comes out to deliver the sermon, the angels appear in the mosque, and listen to the rememberance of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala'(Bukhari, kitab-al-Jummah, bab fadlul Jum'ati) This hadith clearly proves that all those actions mentioned, would not have carried the same reward, if they were performed on any other day, except on the day of jummah. May Allah the Almighty grant us the tawfiq, to do as much as we can, on special Islamic days. Jazak'allah for your question. Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
