My Shaikh is Hadrat Shaykh al-Islam w'al Muslimeen Sayyad Muhammad Madani Miya al-Ashrafi al-Jilani I was 3 years old when I took Bayyah from my great shaykh directly after they had recited my bismillah khani - I have subsequentley re-affirmed my Bayyah every year with my great Shaykh, I cant remember when I first took Bayyah due to my young age but each year that I re-affirm it i get really really nervous and afterwards feel as tho a great weight has been lifted off me!! An Interessting fact - Im sure I have mentioned this before, but my late grandfather Ismail Doctor was instrumental in bringing Shaykh Al Islam to the UK for their first visit back in the 70s and subsentley each year after that, and they have been staying at our house ever since, Also Hazrat Sarkar e Kalan when they visited the UK and Ghazi e Millat!! Hazrat Shaykh Al Islam arrive 2morow at our house I cant wait!!. I love to the khidmat of my great Shaykh and these are the best days of the year for me. I cannot take my eyes off the blessed face of my peer o murshid as the noor that flows from them is amazing and for all to see. The day we accompanied Hazrat to my late grandfathers grave 2 years ago is an experience I will never forget and I cant describe the feeling of that day - was unbeleivable. I must admit I also have a great bond and affection for Hazrat Ghazi-e-Millat and they have helped me on numerous occasions throughout my life, what ever they have said will happened, HAS happened!! And once after they had resided at our home alond with Hazrat Shaykh Al Islam, they were leaving and I went to say farewell to Gazi-e-Millat and before I could shake their hand they hugged me for a solid 2 minutes which seemed an eternity and said 'Khudahafez son' - really made me feel special that day. The ability of both Shuyukh to make people feel special is an amazing gift!! May Allah swt grand our Shaykhs long life and give us the ability to obtain their blessings. I have also had the pleasure of meeting Shaykh Nazim Adil Haqqani Naqshbandi and Shakyh Hisham al Kabbani whom I respect very highly - but those stories for another day ;D Subhnallah great story brother MAsrahfi, hugging Hazrat Ghazi E Millat for 2 minutes, what an honour. Please tell us the story of meeting shaykh Nazim and Shaykh Kabbani, did you become talib? did you tell Hazrat about this meeting? please tell us more

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa SallamAl hamdulilla some beautiful bayah stories shared and as I was sent a pm to reply to this thread I better do as I am told . My bayah took place when I was 14 years old, Our Qibla peer sahib Sayyed Mahroof Hussain Naushahi Qadri Sahib's forefathers have been Murshids of my forefathers, majority of the family are mureeds of the Naushahiyah Silsila expect for my eldest brother who is a Chishti, mureed of Peer Karam Shah Rahmatullahi 'alayh and 2 nephews are mureeds of Shaykh Nazim Haqqani sahib, 2 nephews are mureeds of Shaykh ul Islam Madani Miya Sahib. Several family members have also done Talib e bayah with Madani Miya sahib My bayah happened at my parents house, together with my 2 brothers and my aunt who was visiting from abroad. I remember it well I was slightly nervous as what to expect, first peer sahib did bayah with my brothers, then we were given a scarf to hold I held one corner whilst my aunt the other, we were advised to read salah regular and a special waziaf to read after Asar namaz was given, then qibla peer sahib did dua for all of us. Al hamdulilla we are often blessed with ziyarah of Qibla Peer sahib on a regular basis and they often visit my parents house. May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala grant our murshids a long healthy lives in order for them to shower their endless blessings upon us and our families ameen summa ameen. Next Bayah story please................ Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuExcellent story, jazakallah for sharing

Salaams brother Siraz
Sorry been really busy at work after having a week off but I better write this now :-)
Mashallah I got the pleasure of meeting Hazrat Shaykh Nazim Adil Haqqani back in early 2000, my freind at university who is a mureed of the great Shaykh took me along to a dhikr mehfil and mashallah I got to meet the Shaykh. As you can imagine I was very happy to have met the Shaykh and the noor that was illuminating of their face mashallah!!
I did mention this to Hazrat Shaykh Al Islam and they said "one should surround themselves with great people who have outstanding islamic values and charecteistics". - I was very pleased with hearing that ;-)
Hazrat then talked about the Naqshbandi Silsila and about Mujaddid e alfi thani (rehmatullah alaihi) and Hazrat Bahuddin Naqshband (rehmatullah alaihi).
Regarding Hazrat Shaykh Hisham Al Kabbani, they were also at the dhikr session but the first time I heard them speak was a lecture they gave at the Haq Chaar Yaar conference in Bradford alongside Hazrat Ghazi e Millat!! a great occasion and I have been to a few more Haq Chaar Yaar conferences, last year Ghazi e Millat performed an outstanding talk and all the Naqshbandi brothers including Shaykh Hisham were very impressed!!
Also Shaykh Hisham attended a dawat at my friends house here in London last month and mashallah my freind has the privellage of having the blessed Hair mubarak of our beloved Prophet Sallalahu alaihi wa sallam and we got to do ziyarat with Shaykh Hisham, the experience was mindblowing. I mentioned this occourance to Hazrat Shaykh Al Islam last week and they were smiling after hearing this.
So sorry for keeping you guys waiting please forgive me and in turn I will mention last years event at my uncle Siraz's house in Bolton.
I was lucky enough to be in the room with Ghazi e Millat and Taj ul Ulema Shaykh Noorani miya when someone bought some tabbarukat from Madina Sharif. They had a piece of the gillaf that rests on top of the blessed roza mubarak and some soil from around the roza mubarak which the individual obtained 20 odd years ago when the area around the roza mubarak was being re-tiled. To watch the great Shaykhs do ziyarat of the tabbarukaat was amazing and I was in the room by chance (I went to give the Shaykhs tea) and when Shaykh Noorani miya found out about the status of the soil he immediatley ate some and so did Ghazi e Millat - now that is ishq!!
anyways guys I better get back to work
Khudahafez Mukhtar-Ahmed

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu Even though the information on the left show who Our Pir o Mursheed are, Please could everyone share the following information on this new thread (Before you start, please write out your name and where you are in the world, and then write...) 1> The Name of your Shaikh 2> When you took Bhayat with your Shaikh/How Old were you?/Were you alone or a group/ 3> Was it direct (i.e was it through someone who received khilifat? 4>How you felt Before/during/Afterwards 5> Tell us an interesting fact regarding your Shaikh that other people might now know - Don't worry, it doesnt have to a long essay, it could be something like "Hazrat first came to my house in 1985 and has come there ever since". Jazakallah, I look forward to all your posts! Shiraz Jahangir Chughtai Ashrafi Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem1/ syed maulana shaykh muhammad nazim adil al-haqqani 2/ 31 years of age 3/ yes it was direct current 4/ when i did umrah in june 26 2007, i prayed to ALLAH Subhanahu wa Ta'alato guide me to a rightouse teacher and guide.i came back to the uk and after a month i just seemed to go to my old friend who did bayat with maulana and said take me to see them,i did not even think about it.he said maulana is calling you that's why.so i went with about 8 brothers to cyprus.when i was there maulana's persona just blew me away.so much noor and so much of a presence.he looked at me as if he could see right through me.when i did bayat molauna said mubarak, mubarak, mubarak.i was on the top of the world.my friend who was very close to moulana said that he nevers say's mubarak 3 times to anyone.i was chuffed...... i felt things were harder to do before i did bayat, but afterwards it felt easy and i was more god conscious.felt different.we did hadrah a zikr we haqqanni mureeds do,afterwards i was in a different state i was sweating like mad saw kind of small white lights for a couple of days.asked my friend who said that i was just starting my way on the spiritual path.i gave moulana a glass of water, moulana was just smiling at me for ages.i was really happy. 5/Once Shaykh Nazim was visiting Lebanon for a period of two months during the hajj (pilgrimage) season. The governor of the city of Tripoli, Lebanon, Ashar ad-Daya, was head of the official convoy to the hajj. He invited Shaykh Nazim to go with him on the Pilgrimage. The Shaykh said, "I cannot go with you, but, Insha-Allah, I will meet you there." The governor insisted, "If you are going, please go with me. Don't go with anyone else." Shaykh Nazim replied, "I don't yet know if I will go or not." After the season of hajj finished, and the governor had returned, he rushed to the house where Shaykh Nazim was staying. In front of 100 people, while we were watching, he said, "O Shaykh Nazim, why did you go with someone else, why didn't you come with me?" We said, "The Shaykh did not go on hajj. For two months he has been here with us, traveling around Lebanon." He said, "No! He was on hajj. I have witnesses. One day I was making the ritual circumambulation of the Ka'aba (tawaf), and Shaykh Nazim came to me and said, 'O Ashar, are you here?' I said, 'Yes, my Shaykh.' Then he made circumambulation with me. We spent the night together in our hotel in Makkah. He spent the day with us on Arafat, in our tent. He spent the night with me in Mina, and he stayed with us in Mina for three days. Then he told me, 'I have to go to Madinah to visit the Prophet.'" As he told this story, we were carefully observing Shaykh Nazim, as we knew that he had never left our presence in Lebanon. We saw that unique, hidden smile, as if he meant to say, "That is the power that Allah grants to his saints. When they are on His Way, when they reach His Divine Love and His Divine Presence, Allah will grant them everything." When he saw that, the governor said, "O my Shaykh, what is this miraculous ability that you showed us? It is incredible. That is something I never saw in all my life. I am a politician, and I rely on my mind and my logic. Yet I must say that you are not an ordinary person, you have superhuman powers. It must be something that Allah Himself has dressed you with!" He kissed the hand of the Shaykh and asked him for initiation in the Naqshbandi Order. Whenever Shaykh Nazim would visit Lebanon, that governor and the prime minister of Lebanon would sit in the Shaykh's association. Up until today, their families and many of the Lebanese people are his followers. Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
