Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Even though the information on the left show who Our Pir o Mursheed are, Please could everyone share the following information on this new thread (Before you start, please write out your name and where you are in the world, and then write...)
1> The Name of your Shaikh 2> When you took Bhayat with your Shaikh/How Old were you?/Were you alone or a group/ 3> Was it direct (i.e was it through someone who received khilifat? 4>How you felt Before/during/Afterwards 5> Tell us an interesting fact regarding your Shaikh that other people might now know - Don't worry, it doesnt have to a long essay, it could be something like "Hazrat first came to my house in 1985 and has come there ever since".
Jazakallah, I look forward to all your posts!

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu My name is Shiraz, I live in Leicester, UK My Shaikh is Hadrat Shaykh al-Islam w'al Muslimeen Imam al-Humam, Tajdare ahl al-Sunnat, Raees al-Muhaqiqin, Murshid al-Barhaq, Khatib al-A'zam, Hadrat Allama Mawlana Mufti Pir Sayyad Shah Muhammad Madani Miya al-Ashrafi al-Jilani Janasheen al-Huzoor Muhaddith al-A'zam al-Hind Rehmatullahi 'alaih I can't remember exactly how old I was, but remember I was around 14. It was me, my cousin and my sister who took bhayat. It was direct. I was very nervous beforehand but felt really good afterwards. Interesting fact: Before my grandad put together Sutherland Street Mosque in Leicester (first mosque in Leicester), Hazrat Sheikh Ul Islam used to preech in my living room (we've still got the same house). This was before I was born, but Hazrat will always come to our house every time he visits, and last time he came to our house he pointed in the top left hand corner and told Hazrat Arabi Miya and Hazrat Anwar Miya this is where he used to preech Jazakallah Shiraz Jahangir Chughtai Ashrafi

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem,
Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu,
My name is Mohammed Suhayb Booth and I live in Auckland, New Zealand.
1) Hadrat Ghazi e Millat 2) Maybe 3 years ago I was 28. It was at the Mosque in a group. 3) To be honest I didn't realise the importance at the time, I didn't really have things explained to me only that it was important. Thanks to this site I have learned a lot more about the importance of being a Mureed and also the status of my Pir Sahab. 4) I felt good inside similar feeling to when I accepted Islam. 5) Earlier this year Pir Sahab visited for Rabi ul Awwal, I went to meet him at the airport when they were leaving to go to the house they were staying at they leaned out of the car window and said "are you coming to have tea? You must come and have tea with me" I was awestruck ;D

My Shaikh is Hadrat Shaykh al-Islam w'al Muslimeen Sayyad Muhammad Madani Miya al-Ashrafi al-Jilani I was 3 years old when I took Bayyah from my great shaykh directly after they had recited my bismillah khani - I have subsequentley re-affirmed my Bayyah every year with my great Shaykh, I cant remember when I first took Bayyah due to my young age but each year that I re-affirm it i get really really nervous and afterwards feel as tho a great weight has been lifted off me!!
An Interessting fact - Im sure I have mentioned this before, but my late grandfather Ismail Doctor was instrumental in bringing Shaykh Al Islam to the UK for their first visit back in the 70s and subsentley each year after that, and they have been staying at our house ever since, Also Hazrat Sarkar e Kalan when they visited the UK and Ghazi e Millat!! Hazrat Shaykh Al Islam arrive 2morow at our house I cant wait!!. I love to the khidmat of my great Shaykh and these are the best days of the year for me. I cannot take my eyes off the blessed face of my peer o murshid as the noor that flows from them is amazing and for all to see.
The day we accompanied Hazrat to my late grandfathers grave 2 years ago is an experience I will never forget and I cant describe the feeling of that day - was unbeleivable.
I must admit I also have a great bond and affection for Hazrat Ghazi-e-Millat and they have helped me on numerous occasions throughout my life, what ever they have said will happened, HAS happened!!
And once after they had resided at our home alond with Hazrat Shaykh Al Islam, they were leaving and I went to say farewell to Gazi-e-Millat and before I could shake their hand they hugged me for a solid 2 minutes which seemed an eternity and said 'Khudahafez son' - really made me feel special that day. The ability of both Shuyukh to make people feel special is an amazing gift!!
May Allah swt grand our Shaykhs long life and give us the ability to obtain their blessings.
I have also had the pleasure of meeting Shaykh Nazim Adil Haqqani Naqshbandi and Shakyh Hisham al Kabbani whom I respect very highly - but those stories for another day ;D

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Syed Rehan Qadri Baghdadi's Bayah story.
Shah saab was 5-6 years old and there beloved father was a chisty mureed and there beloved mother was qadri mureeda. Each parent wanted shah saab to do bayah from their shaykh. So shah saab dad used to take them to there blessed shaykh and tell them to make shah saab there servant. The blessed shaykh used to reply inshallah next week and this kept going on for a year . While shah saab dad was taking them to there shaykh shah saabs mum used to take them to there shaykh . One day shah saab mum's blessed shaykh said my beloved daugter reyhan is mine!!!!
When shah saab dad take them to there shaykh they order there dad to take them to there blessed wifes shaykh. Being a faithful servant shah saab's dad never said another word and took shah saab straight to Hazrat Syed Abdul Rahim Qadri Baghdadi Sahib Rahmatullahi 'alayh
When shah saab arrived at hazrat ji's house one rose garland was put around hazrats blessed neck and one around shah saabs. He also wear new cloths. Hazrat take shah saabs hand and make them there servant . Later hazrat take some sweet and eat it and give the leftovers to shah saab and then take some sweet milk and then give leftovers to shah saab again. Shah saabs bayah was done after namaz-e-asar
When ever shah saab go to hazrat shah saab always kiss hazrats blessed hands and feet and then sit in hazrat sahibs lap. Then hazrat kiss there forehead. Jazakallah Khayrun

ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa SallamAl hamdulilla some beautiful bayah stories shared and as I was sent a pm to reply to this thread I better do as I am told . My bayah took place when I was 14 years old, Our Qibla peer sahib Sayyed Mahroof Hussain Naushahi Qadri Sahib's forefathers have been Murshids of my forefathers, majority of the family are mureeds of the Naushahiyah Silsila expect for my eldest brother who is a Chishti, mureed of Peer Karam Shah Rahmatullahi 'alayh and 2 nephews are mureeds of Shaykh Nazim Haqqani sahib, 2 nephews are mureeds of Shaykh ul Islam Madani Miya Sahib. Several family members have also done Talib e bayah with Madani Miya sahib My bayah happened at my parents house, together with my 2 brothers and my aunt who was visiting from abroad. I remember it well I was slightly nervous as what to expect, first peer sahib did bayah with my brothers, then we were given a scarf to hold I held one corner whilst my aunt the other, we were advised to read salah regular and a special waziaf to read after Asar namaz was given, then qibla peer sahib did dua for all of us. Al hamdulilla we are often blessed with ziyarah of Qibla Peer sahib on a regular basis and they often visit my parents house. May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala grant our murshids a long healthy lives in order for them to shower their endless blessings upon us and our families ameen summa ameen. Next Bayah story please................ Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

Was it Direct : Direct Before : I dont even know what is Pir n Mureed, I only knew that Ala Hazrat Rahmatullahi 'alayh's Great Grandson is hayat and has come to Mumbai at one of his Mureed house I was curious to meet him I told it to my Freinds they agreed to visit hazrat, I with my 5 other freinds went to hazrat's house Hazrat was resting inside we sat in Hall some Ullema were also there they told us to remove if you r wearing Steel watch, More than One Ring, Chain whatever which was against shariah n they instructed that Hazrat will give Cloth hold the cloth n recite what hazrat recite's. During : Then Hazrat came inside The Hall As I saw Hazrat I was in Love (Love in first sight) with so emense NOOR subhanALLAH(Azzawajal) then Hazrat One by One made his Mureed on his BLESSED HAND and put his BLESSED HAND on Our Heads and Blessed us with dua, Ullemas there were shocked that Hazrat made us Mureed on his BLESSED HAND and put his BLESSED HAND on Our Heads and Blessed us with dua Ullemas present there also took Bayah on Hazrats BLESSED HANDS everyone there were looking at One and others face and were so happy. Afterwards : When Hazrat went Ullemas told us that you all are so Blessed that Hazrat took ur Bayah on his BLESSED HAND very few are Blessed to take Bayah on Hazrats BLESSED HAND, from when Hazrat put his BLESSED HAND on my Head till I reached Home and Slept My Head was so much Paining that I can't even Talk. Interesting fact : There are many interesting facts between me and My Pir-O-Murshid I'll share one of them WHEN ever Harat comes to Mumbai mostly Hazrat do Imamat of Jumuah Salaah we where informed that in Abdul Samad Masjid Bombay Hazrat will do Imamat of Jumuah Salaah I with my one freind went by train which took us half an hour to reach Masjid it was 1 o'clock when we reached there we were informed that due to Hazrat's sickness location is changed to Santacruz Jama Masjid nearby where Hazrat is staying, we decided to go Santacruz we were sure that we will miss jumuah salaah because if we go there it will take 1 hour that means we will reach by 2 o'clock n jammat is of 1:40pm in our mind was just to see our Pir-O-Murshid's Blessed Noorani Face we reached Bombay station at 1:10pm from there Santacruz Station is 45mins we got the train of 1:11pm and was to slow we tought that we will not get chance to see our Pir-O-Murshid but when we reached Santacruz Station and from station to Masjid it was 1:30pm the journey takes 45mins but we reached in 19mins we experinced live karamat of Pir-O-Murshid,As soon as we entered Masjid Hazrat stood up for Jumuah Qutba we offered jumuah salaah and also saw our Pir-O-Murshid's Blessed Noorani face.
