Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa aalihi wa Sallam)You have to make sure that you dont do anything which commits to a sin, and that includes going out together, talking, and even seeing each other. It is only when you conform to the rules of the shar'iyyah that Allah Azzawajal is pleased with you and he listens to you, and He makes things happen for you. You must stick to your five times salah, and also make du'a to Allah the Almighty, that: 'Ya Allah, it is for your pleasure that I want to get married, and it is the sunnah of your Beloved Messenger Salla Allahu 'alayh wa sallam that I want to get married. Oh Allah, please turn the heart of my mother in law to be, to this intention of mine, so that I may have the better of this world, and the better of the Hereafter by performing the sunnah of your Beloved Messenger Salla Allahu 'alayh wa sallam.'
Once you make this sort of du'a, with the correct intention, and by not doing anything illegal ( ghayr shar'i), Insha'Allah, your prayer will not go unanswered. It may take time, but you have to be patient, and also be sincere in what you ask for. Jazak'Allah for your question. Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
