Stated by Maulana, if you can refrain from anger for 40 days you will have passed a great test. If you can successfully stay away from being angry, anger will assault you less frequently. If you can carry on doing this shaitan will announce to his helpers: "Don't bother attacking this person, you are just wasting your time and energy. His defenses are impenetrable: one-thousand attacks are just as futile as one. leave him alone, he has escaped from our hands". Shaitan's helpers are the selfish ego, vain desires and worldliness; these are our four great enemies, and whoso learns to control his anger will be victorious against these base influences. Hope it helps, really helped me

Ameen;
I know sister Nomee it does prove difficult but just keeping it in your mind it really does help.
Gradually you tend to realise that anger is not the solution to our problems!

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuGood post by sister bulbaleymadina Jazakallah Khayrun Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu Dear respected brother, Is there any reason you write Khayrun instead of Khayran? I remember reading a topic on another site where a brother mentioned it was wrong. I hope you can teach me brother? You seem very knowledgeable. JazakAllah Khairan

I am not even the dust under the feet of an Alim. Jazakallah Khayrun Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu I can't find it now, but there was a post on sunni talk where a brother said it should be KhayrAN and not KhayrUN. I personally don't understand it. I am not very knowledgeable. All I know is that we use "JazakAllah" because the Prophet Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wa Alehi Waslam taught us to say it, and we were taught khayrAN not khayrUN: I think it is in Sunan al-Tirmidhi Whoever has something good done for him, then one says in reply to the good doer JazakAllah KharAN then he has indeed conveyed his thanks. So I think we should follow the Hadith in this case my brother. It is KhayrAN and not KhayrUN. I think there is some Arabic Grammar reason too but I don't know Arabic and am very ignorant. JazakAllah Khayran

JazakAllah Khayran Yes dear brother its Khayran. Well Jazaakallah Khayran for correcting me. However if you see that post again on sunnitalk (by the way I thought your not a member there ) you let the guy know that its not Jazakallah Khayran. Its Jaza akallah Khayran according to the hadith shareef. Here I will show you the arabic form After the zaal there is a alif which means we should pronounce like a kh'li zabar. (By making a little long) If it was only zabar then it would be Jazakallah Khayran. Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

I visited that site and seen the thread just like you have. Are you from there by any chance my knowledgeable my brother? By the way, there is no ZAAL, there is a ZAA'. That is a good point though, you should go there and post it, to let him know. I don't have an account but I am a regular visitor there. Wassalam I also visit Ya Nabi com and Marifah Net but am not a member of either of them. JazakAllah for the useful knowledge sharing brother. You should train to be a scholar, Insha'Allah.
