Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Imam ZainulAbidin RadiAllahuAnhu - Unconsciousness Whilst Reciting Labbaik
When Sayyiduna Imam Zain-ul-‘Abidin RadiAllahu Anhu put on Ihraam with the intention of performing Hajj, his face turned pale and he could not utter Labbaik. People asked him, ‘Why don’t you recite Labbaik ? He RadiAllahu Anhu replied, ‘I fear the utterance of La-Labbaik in response!’
People said, ‘It is necessary to recite Labbaik after putting on Ihraam.’ As he RadiAllahu Anhu recited Labbaik, he fell down unconscious. His condition remained so throughout the pilgrimage of Hajj. Whenever he RadiAllahu Anhu recited Labbaik, he would fall unconscious. (Tahzib-ut-Tahzib)
