I was watching Noor TV (Sunni channel, not Shia) today and there had an advert advising they will be celebrating Mawlid an-Nabi on the April 22nd?
However at our local mosque we have already celebrated it. I thought we supposed to be celebrating it in the month of Rabi' al-awwal the third month in the Islamic calendar.

Asalamu Alaykum
During the month of Rabi Un Noor Shareef there are more events regarding Milad however it can be celebrated throughout the year.
In fact we (the sunnies) should be celebrating it our whole lives every day, thanking Allah Azwajul he sent his noble messenger to us.
