Dear Brothers and Sisters,
as-salamu ‘alaykum.
We pray this email reaches you in a state of well-being.
As part of our Demystifying Islam series, Unity Foundation present:
DEFENDING THE PROPHET MUHAMMAD
(whilst staying in line with the prophetic example)
“The Servants of God are those who walk on the earth with humility, and when the foolish address them (with harsh words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness saying “Peace be with you” - Qur’an 25:63
A timely Address by: Shaykh Sa’ad al-Attas - A descendent of the Prophet (saw)
To defend the Prophet appropriately, we must first know him and gain a better understanding of his life. The event aims to set the record straight about the best of creation (saw) debunking some myths often associated with this great man, Peace be upon him, whilst also aiming to illustrate the very real prophetic character traits of peace, mercy, tolerance and forgiveness, that he guided us towards.
Whilst many Muslims around the world have reacted to the ‘film’ about the Prophet Muhammad with rage and violence. Amidst the chaos, Unity Foundation invites you, your friends, family and work colleagues etc. to reflect on how the Messenger of God, Peace be upon him dealt with those who conspired to harm him.
The event is a must for the Muslim that wants to know how to defend the honour of God’s beloved in an appropriate manner
The event is also a must for the Non Muslim that wants to know the real Muhammad (may God’s peace and blessings be upon him) beyond the media hype
