As-Salaam alaikum, Why is the Islamic Creed ( La-ilaha illallahu, Muhammadur- Rasoolullah) called Kalimat Tayyib (the pure words) ?
This is because it describes the Holiness and Majesty of Allah and also because, owing to its multiple purity, it overpowers the impure polytheists, infidels, hypocrites, jealous, the oblivious and the people having dead soul.
So many benefits and/or virtues of the Kalimat Tayyib were related from the Prophet, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, some of which are:--
(1) "The greatest invocation is the invocation of La-ilaha illallahu, Muhammadur-Rasoolullah. (2) The one who recites the Islamic Creed (La-ilaha illallahu, Muhammadur-Rasoolullah) veritably only once, all his sins are obliterated. (3) The one who recites La-ilaha illallahu, Muhammadur-Rasoolullah sincerely, will enter the Paradise without any accountability or punishment."
And the 'Ulama teach us that the reciter of this remarkable Islamic Creed must keep in mind four (4) things:--
(a) One who recites it without inward verification is a hypocrite. (b) One who is not sanctified by reciting the Creed is a sinner. (c) One who does not find pleasure, satisfaction and sincerity of heart by reciting the creed is a pretender. (d) One who does not honor the creed is a wrong innovator in the religion.
