Assalam-U-Alaikum
I saw this forum and thought maybe you could help. I am a 19 year old and I stay depressed because I am losing my hair. Because of this, my self esteem level has gone down and my hair is all I can think about, and my concentration on my studies has diminished. I used to have a full head of hair, and they were quite alright 2-3 years ago. Since last 2 years, I have been gradually losing hair and my hair is thinning, so much that I can see my scalp. I do not want to go bald. I feel it even more when people comment on it. Being a girl, it is hard not to pay attention to this. I have tried oil, aloe vera, and every other remedy I heard of. There are 2 major problems: first of all, My hair falls out in masses, and second: even if it did stop falling off, I would still be able to see my scalp through the thin hair. I tested for anemia, and other causes, but none are apparent. I do not know why this is happening. I would greatly appreciate it if you were to tell me any dua I might make so my hair can go back to what it was like before all this started (about 2-3 years ago), and grow strong and thick instead of thin and weak. Thank you so much.

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Bismillahir Rahmanir RaheemDear Sister, until our Respected Imaam Saahab prescribes some effective Du'as & Advices, please consider any of the following remedies that may be easier for you: - Boil a handful of myrtle leaves in ½ liter of mustard oil until they get burnt slowly. Strain, allow to cool and store in a glass bottle. Rub on head twice a day. New hairs will start to grow.
- Boil a bunch of watercress in 1 liter of water. Allow to cool and use that water as a shampoo daily on your scalp, massage gently and leave until it dries, then wash your hair. You can also drink watercress juice anytime, sweetened with honey or mixed with orange juice or whatever you like to make it comfortable to the taste. The sulphur content of the watercress will help hairgrowth. If you can't bear the taste of the juice have watercress salad regularly .
- 2 cups of roots of fig tree.
1 quart of coconut or olive oil.
Dry the fig roots in the shade for 3 days. Then crush the roots and immerse in oil for 15 days. Strain and preserve in a glass bottle. Massage on scalp at bedtime, leave overnight and wash in the morning with warm or cold water and soap.
Please bear in mind that the root cause of your hairs falling can be several from stress to lack of certain minerals in your blood. Remedies may work according to the the cause. Avoid sleeping late and worries. The more you will worry about your problem it will create toxin in your blood that will further aggravate your problem. Whatever remedy you will follow, start with Bismillahi-ir-Rahmaan-ir-Rahim and Darood Shareef and have faith in Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'alaa from whom originate all cures. Practice prolonged Sijdah as in this position of humility blood flows to the roots of your hairs. Regular intake of watercress (juice or salad) will cleanse your blood and enhance it with sulphur. When this blood will flow to the roots of your hairs in Sijdah it will irrigates and nourishes them. In a single position you will benefit both spiritually and medically. Read Darood Shareef abundantly, you can read the one the following link: ashraf786.proboards15.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=duas&thread=1186173624&page=1I sincerely hope and make Du'a that your hairs stop falling and grow rapidly again with the help of Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'alaa through the Blessed Wasilah e Paak of His Beloved Noor Sayyidinah Muhammad Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wa Sallam, under whose Blessed Feet the dusts are full of Shifaa (cure).
