Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuPraise be to Allah who is the lord of the worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa aalihi wa Sallam)Jazak'allah for your question, and apologies for the delay it has taken in answering your question. May Allah the Almighty open all the doors of time, for us, so that we may engage in His worship. (Amin) I am rather puzzled at the nature of your question ? Of course Islam expects all students to respect their teachers, whether they be teachers of the Qur'an al kareem, the deen of Islam, teachers of the sciences, in fact we should respect and pay attention to all of our teachers no matter what field of knowledge we are gaining. It is not the Muslim way to disrespect, in any way shape or form the very people who pass their learned knowledge. May Allah the Almighty give us all the tawfiq to listen to and act upon that which is prescribed to us, and keep away from, and not act upon those things which have not been prescribed to us.Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM.
