Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
[glow=red,2,300]May Allah's eternal blessings surround us all, and may we make mention of our beloved, Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him in every respectable gathering. Ameen. Allah swt bless our Noble, Most Honorable Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings upon him, his family and lovers throughout eternity. Ameen.[/glow]
Dear Respected Imaam, I pray you are well and in the very best of states, Ameen. I feel slightly apprehensive when I ask questions, as i do not like to take the precious time of such hard-working people. I know what your response will be in this regard as you do not mind...however, I will try not to spend much time...of course everyone will always question many things, but it also respectable that we appreciate very much your anticipated responses. Alhamdollilah.
May Allah swt allow for us to remember our respected scholars, shaykhs, imams and learned ones in our duas and learn the best of characteristics from them. Ameen. No doubt, the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings upon him was the highest of examples, but we have living teachers like you who maintain His traditions. Alhamdollilah.
I wanted to ask a quick question with regards to seeking Allah's Beautiful Pleasure... There are many things which can happen to one and one may question his/her belief, some waiver from doubt and belief and everyone is contending with both the shaytaan and the ego...However, firm conviction in Allah and His fundamental laws seem to be quite hard for many people to accept and implement, and all of us are sent forth with many tests, trials and tribulations...
When faced with things of an unfavorable nature, but acknowledging the Decree of Allah, how is one supposed to distinguish between Allah's Mercy and Pleasure, or His Punishment or Wrath?
Seeking Allah's Pleasure entails some form of hardship I guess, but how is ones supposed to thank Allah swt appropriately? For, the innumerable blessings compared to the tiny tests we face from time to time is a billion and more times worthier and heavier in every aspect of lives i.e. we enjoy beautiful surroundings, places of comfort, relatives, friends, families, wealth, health, have the abilities to speak, read, write and a billion more favours beyond our comprehension... The list is innumerable. Alhamdollilah.
Is it only the Prophet's who would see the Beautiful Countenance of Allah, or is people like myself who cannot express in appropriate words and actions the gratitude, favours and blessings of Allah swt?
Please remember Imam, I thank you for your response in advance for I know that you spend your valuable time with each and every seeker of Allah's path, and I earnestly wish for your long life and goodness in both worlds. Ameen.
May Allah swt bless you and the Ummah of Our Most Loved, Most Honoured Prophet Muhammad, Peace and Blessings upon Him. Ameen.
With Salaam and Respect

(I think i may have asked three questions, but only answer when you are able to, Inshallah.)
