Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
i have a friend who is a revert and went to get circumsized.the promblem is he always wakes up with an errection. the doctor says that if he gets circumsized it will bleed every morning and it wont heal good. does he still have to get circumsized.
also if one does not get circumsized because of medical reason does he have to make ghusal and wudu to be on the safe side..
jazakAllah

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuPraise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved and Final Messenger of Islam, Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa SallamJazakallah for your valued question. Normally, it is a Sunnah of the Beloved Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam that every new born child should be circumcised, and is usually done at a very early age. The reason why it is done at a very early age, is so that the child remains clean while he is growing old, and that there is no pain for him which he will remember, when he has his circumcision done. If your friend, who is a revert, has been advised by the doctor that he will bleed every morning and that the heal of the circumcision will not heal good, then it is best for him to take on the doctors advice. Allah the Almighty says: 'La yukallif ullahu nafsann illa wus'aha laha'
'Allah places not a burden on any soul, but to the extent of his strength' (Al Baqarah, 2:286) This verse clearly states that Allah the Almighty does not place a burden upon anyone, which he cannot bear. Also it is not compulsory for your Muslim friend to take ghusl every time he needs to perform wudhu'. Merely wudhu', when it is required will suffice for him, when he needs to pray etc. May Allah the Almighty give us all the tawfiq to realise the lenience Allah the Almighty has granted to mankind in His laws, especially when it comes to difficult times.
