Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Peace and Blessings of Allah be with our Beloved Muhammad Moestafa (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam)
Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Most respected Imam may Allah be with you... I wanted to ask you if you could answer the following questions put forward by a girl. This girl wanted aswers so I thought you could answer them better then me (with Hadith en Quranic verses preferably)... insha Allah...
The questions are: 1) is talking to boys really forbidden? 2) is it really forbidden to shake hands with them? 3) I chat a lot with boys (via internet). I don't have any bad intentions with that... they are just friends. Is it forbidden?
May Allah lead us to the Right Path...

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa SallamJazak'allah for your question in relation to the sister talking to boys, and so forth. Islam has principles which relate to the mixing of sexes, that must be observed ( fard) amongst Muslims. I have answered questions relating to similar issues which have been asked in the past. However I will direct you to where you may find these answers, as this will save time. From the 'Ask Imam' archives : Purdah and niqab. You will find the underlying principles of these issues, there.
