Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuPraise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa SallamJazak'allah for your question. There is no particular difference in the words 'spirit' and 'soul'. If we take it to mean that thing, which is taken out of us when we die, then it is the same, although some of the Great Sufis have made distinction between the two, but for our purpose, as a beginning, they are both the same. The soul is a being which is made out of light, and does all those things which we do i.e. It worships Allah the Almighty. It's sustenence is the remembrance of Allah the Almighty, and according to the deeds of the person to whom it belonged to, it has a rank. It is this rank which determines, where it can go, and how high. Those which were devoted to Allah the Almighty have their own high stations with Allah the Almighty, and those who hadnt, then they witness the torment of their bodies, which once disobeyed Allah. There is no limit to what type of food you can/cant put at a khatam. Those people who do, if they are close to Allah, they may do so for their own reasons, but there is no limit generally. Remember that all foods are a blessing of Allah the Almighty, and if we use them in the correct, way, they will be accepted by Allah the Almighty, insha'Allah. In relation to your question about the wudhu' after bath, then it is 'better' ( afdhal) to perform wudhu' after a bath, although it does not say that your worship ( ibadah) will not be accepted, if you forget to, or dont perform wudhu', after a bath. May Allah the Almighty give us all the tawfiq, to remain pure, and act pure, and teach that which is pure. (Amin)Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
