assalamu alaikum
Has anybody here heard of the miracle that happened in Iraq in the early 1920' I came across one article publshed in a Urdu magazine long back.
This eyeopening incident took place when king Faisal ( grand father of the late king Hussain of Jordan) was the ruler of Iraq. It so happened that one night two sahabas (may Allah be pleased with them) of the Noble Prophet (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) (peace be on him) appeared in his dream and urged the king to shift their bodies to some other place since water was seeping into their graves. The king just ignored it thinking it was only a dream. But when they appeared in his dream for the second time he took immediate action and in the presence of imminent persons the graves indicated by the sahabas were opened and the bodies shifted to a nearby place called Salman which has become a place of pigrimage.
The most wonderful thing about the incident was that the bodies of the sahabaas were fresh and the eyes when opened were as that of living persons ie shining.,even after almost 13 centuries. It is learnt the entire episode was recorded and the relevant documents are preserved.to thid day.
I have just given a sketchy picture of this miracle. It is possible that some others may throw further light on this

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam
Jazak'allah for your question. This is true not only of Prophets, which is proven from 'ahadith-e-mubarikah', that the earth does not deteriorate the bodies of the Prophets. But the ruling of it extends to all those who are the Beloveds of Allah the Almighty, had they been in that era or not.
Many similar incidents have occurred over the centuries. A classical example was of a great scholar from the subcontinent, and who is my grand teacher named Qadi Abdus 'Subhan Rahmatullahi ’Alaih of Khilapatti. When they decided to build 'Tarbela Dam' in Pakistan, these few graves were obstructing the construction process, so an order was sought towards the families of the deceased. When granted, the graves were dug out, and placed into fresh coffins. To the astonishment of the people, the bodies still had been fresh for ten years, as though they had just been buried yesterday. albeit, the hair had grown, and so had the nails of the deceased, which proved that even the bodies of the pious (sulaha') still remain intact and afresh, even though they are buried after so long ...
This incident has been heard by myself, from my teacher, who was a primary student (early student) of Qadi Sahib.
