Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Can the "Istikara" be read once you have Already started feeling for the other person?
Is there a different way to read it then?
And what is the correct way to pray the Istikara?
(this is marriage related...)
Jazaka'Allah Khair, -eagerly awaitng your reply.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu,Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa aalihi wa Sallam)Jazak'Allah for your valued question. An istikhara, can be read at any time, before or after the happening of an event, in order to follow what is best for you. Normally, there would be one way of praying it prescribed to you, or someone else may perform it for you, and hence you will get the results. However, there are many methods and ways of praying the istikhara Salaah. You do not have to do the istikhara yourself, as you can tell someone, (like the Imam in a Mosque) to perform it for you. However, if you want to perform it yourself, then you must be in wudhu', be in clean clothes, and have a clean place to pray, and/or sleep. This depends of what kind of istikhara you are going to do. May Allah the Almighty help us all to seek advice from Him, all the time, and may He give us that which is the best for us. (Amin)Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
