Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah Almighty who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa aalihi wa Sallam).Jazak-Allah for your question. All forms of salaah, whether they are the qadha salaah or not, require the praying of the thana. I could not find any confirmation whatsoever, in the books of fiqh, which stated that one does not have to pray the thana, during the qadha salaah. If anything, a person should pray his qadha salaah, just as he prays his normal salaah, with the same wording, the same procedure, and method. There should not be any changes in this. It will not make the process easier, if a person does not recite his thana, or misses out any other fundamental part of the salaah. If anything, a person will be gaining reward for the words he recites during salaah, that includes qadha salaah. He will not gain reward, for missing out any of the parts of the salaah, which he would have normally gained reward for. May Allah the Almighty help us to pray five times a day, in the correct manner. May He help us to catch up upon any salaah that we may have missed in the past. May He make us firm, on the five times salaah. (Amin)Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
