Assalam o alay kum my imam, Suppose that while offering a Nafil namaaz, during "SAJDA" can we ask "ASTAGFAR, or Glorify Allah as Subhanal Malikil Quddus, Subhana Zil Mulki wal Malakoot, ....etc" (Forgiveness) apart from reciting "Subhana Rabil A'la". Can we go ahead and cry and ask Allah to forgive our sins while we are in the state of SAJDA ? Please advise.
Allah Hafiz.
Sallahu Allan Nabi il ummi hi Wa Aalihi Sallahu Alay hi wa Sallam Assalatu was salaamu alayka ya rasool Allah.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam Yes you may. There are many du'as which can be recited including the ones you have mentioned. The sajdah is that act of devotion, to which no other act gets you, as close to Allah. Im sure that in this blessed month whatever you ask from Allah the Almighty, He will grant, Insha'Allah. (Amin). Jazak'allah for your question. Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
