Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuPraise be to Allah who is the lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa SallamWhen I first read the question, I thought it was something to do with cooking, but after verifying what the question was, I was pretty amazed at the discussion that had been going on. It is said that 'a womans salah is not accepted whilst having a 'bun', according to someone I know', but this is not true. As everything that is known is not necessarily true. A woman may tie her hair, conceal her beauty as she wishes when she is praying. There is nothing anywhere from the Qur'an al kareem or hadith that states that a womans salah is not deemed acceptable, if she prays her salah with her hair in the manner of a 'bun'. We must differentiate what is permissible in Islam, to what people normally think or usually say. If what they say is to become part of Islam, then there will be no weight in what is allowed for us, which is stated by Allah the Almighty, and His Most Beloved Messenger Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam. May Allah the Almighty give us all the tawfiq of saying what is correct, and may He keep us all away from what is false. (Amin)Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Aashrafi
