Assalam O Alaykum Imam Sahib
I hope this reaches you in the best of health Insha allah
firstly please forgive me as you have already answered the question but, i was just after a more definite suggestion or answer if you may

It has been written in the book Anis-al-Arwah by Hazrat Khwaja Garib-E-Nawaz that he was told by his spiritual mentor Hazrat Khwaja Usman Harooni that if a person has 17 years of Kaza namaz to pray then he will be pardoned if he follows instructions stated below,
The Hadith was narrated by Hazrat Ali who was told by our Noble Master Sallalahu-Alaihi-Wasallam
On a Monday night if a person prays 50 rakat namaz comprising of 2 rakats each in which he/she
prays surah Al-Fateha (Alhamdu-lillahi-rabbil-alameen) followed by Surah Ikhlas (Kul-Huwalla-Hu) in every rakat. Follwed by the recitation of 100 durood sharif after the 50 rakats he/she will be pardoned for 17 years of kaza salat.
unfortunately i have a number of years to make up....i have recently started fulfilling my obligatory prayers and inshallah hope that i never stop doing so.
what would you suggest would be the best way to make up the missed salat of previous years, would you suggest making each namaz up with the corresponding namaz on the current day i.e. read maghrib qaza instead of maghrib nafal today ....or would you say it would be ok to pray the 50 rakat namaaz as narrated above....understanding obviously with no intention to not continue with obligatory in the future and instead thinking we could go by the above narration again
I hope my question has made sense
Jazakhallah
