Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Imam shahib, I hope you are in the best of health.
I have read that when you hear a muazzin announce the azaan that a person gets a massive reward if they repeat the words of the azaan during the pauses whilst it is being announced. The passage that I read also states that when the muazzin recites haya al a-salah and haya al al falah that a person should not repeat them words and should instead say la hawalah la quwattah ....
The question I have is if this correct why are we told to recite la hawalah during these particular parts of the azaan?

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam The main reason why the ' la hawl' is recited after ' hayya alas salah/falah' is because that is what the Beloved Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam used to say, thus it is regarded as a sunnah. In addition to this, when the devil hears the adhan at this point, he runs, as he ejects air from his rear. Jazak'allah for your question. Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM.
