Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Allah Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa SallamJazak'allah for your question. A
Sunni [Ahl as-Sunnah w'al Jama'ah] woman under no circumstances can marry a person with a
Deobandi belief. The belief of the
Deobandis is that which is in contravention to the belief of the
Ahl as-Sunnah w'al Jama'ah, although they also claim to be the
Ahl as-Sunnah.
The
Ahl as-Sunnah w'al Jama'ah claim that it is part of the belief that the Most Beloved Messenger of Allah
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam will be the greatest intercessor on the Day of Judgement, and not that He
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam already is, but other Great personalities of Islam shall also intercede.
Although Allah the Almighty states in the
Qur'an al kareem:
'Qul lillahish shafa'atu jami'a'
Nevertheless, this verse proves that Allah the Almighty has the power to grant to whomever He wishes such power of intercession, to whom He wills. One of the names of the Messenger of Allah
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam also proves that He
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam is the '
Shafi' the intercessor.
Other
ahadith also prove that the Messenger of Allah
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam is the intercessor, for example in the
Bukhari Shareef it is stated:
'ishfa' tushaffa'
'Intercede, and your intercession shall be accepted'
The above also proves the power granted to the Beloved Messenger of Allah
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam by Allah the Almighty. This is just one example of a
hadith, but there are many others.
Other issues include the Omnipresence of the Beloved Messenger of Allah
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam which has also been a belief of the scholars of the Ahl as-Sunnah. They claim that it is a matter of individual belief and devotion and state, which describes what sort of belief you have. For example if you believe that the Beloved Messenger of Allah
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam is the witness upon the whole of mankind, who they are, where they come from, who there father was, who there mother was, whether they will be of the hellfire, or of paradise, which clan they came from, then this part of the
hadith proves that He
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam is not only a witness, but also has the Power to see the Unseen (
Ilm-al-Ghayb).
Since a lot of
Deobandis had previously denied such power, to which they were given rulings by over fifty different scholars from all around the world, such false beliefs still existed to the present day. Such beliefs included asserting that the
Mehfil-e-Milad was a
bid'ah when there was no need to, the denial of the Power Granted to the Saints, the Power Granted to the Beloved Messenger of Allah
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam as stated above, the praying at graves, praying over food etc. etc.
These were briefly those beliefs that were connected to the Beloved Messenger of Allah
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, which parted them from the
Ahl as-Sunnah w'al Jama'ah mainstream. This is their identification, although those people who do not have these beliefs, then it is perfectly permissable for any woman to marry a Muslim, who do carry such belief.
May Allah the Almighty guide us rightly upon the Path which the Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam correctly taught us, and may He prevent our families from marrying our women with those who are the deniers. (Amin)Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
