Salaams, i am severly distressed, i have been with a guy for three years, i understand that we have done it the wrong way. The guy has told his mum about me i dont think she was pleased, however she told someone from pakistan to do the istikhara. Meanwhile i had done istikhara, on the first night when i woke up i thought 'no, it needs to be sorted with th families first' i didnt quiet understand that so after fajr namaaz i decided to ask alllah to show me a sign in the dream as i didnt understand the feeling. In my dream i was in his car and he kissed me on the hand. The next day i thought id do it again as i wanted to be sure. On awaking i felt a firm yes. The istikhara done by someone in pakistan came out as a yes n a no, so they did it again and it was a no. I am totaly distressed as we both want to be with each other and his mum is telling him to forget me and move on. What can we do in this situation? can an imam please reply

The final decision is yours. With the consent of especially your parents, then to safegard yourself from sin, you must get married, as long as there are no dicrepancies on your husbands side, and he agrees. Jazak'allah for your question. Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
