Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu,All Praise be to Allah the Almighty, who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam)Jazak'Allah for your concerned question. Basically if one person unknowingly consumes haram food, and later discovers that it was haram, he must repent, he must do tawbah, and promise Allah the Almighty, that he will never consume haram food again. There are many issues which, if they are done unknowingly, then they do not constitute to a sin, as not knowing, is the excuse which makes it unforeseeable. Such examples can be found in breaking a fast unknowingly, unknowingly praying X amount of Rakaahs in Salaah, when Y amount should have been performed, or performing Salaah unknowingly without making wudhu', which can be rectified later, once the person remembers. May Allah the Almighty make us all cautious of what we consume, and may He make halal for us, everything we earn, and everything we consume. (Amin).Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
