Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam Due to the slight misunderstanding in relation to the previous post, I forgot to mention the mixing of men and women, Muslim, and non-Muslim, who were involved at this event. As you have stated, this is not permissable in Islam. Various verses from the Qur'an, in relation to the Hijab issues confirm this. There are hadiths, in relation to this as well. These should never be neglected. Previous posts in relation to 'Hijab' issues can be seen in the archives section, which clearly specify, where the true Muslim lies in relation to this. Such events where there is the mixing of different sexes, whether male or female, white or black, Arab or non-Arab, should never take place. This damages the the laws which govern the religion of Islam, and can also damage the image of the Muslims. Whether it is in the house, masjid, public or even religious place, the mahram of such beings should always be present. The only place which is an exception, is the 'haramayn', but even then the same rules apply.Anything that coincides with this should never be taken place. Jazak'allah for your question. Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
