Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah the Almighty, who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon Our Most Beloved Messenger, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam).Jazak'Allah for your question. You know, you can commemorate Urs, any day, it doesnt really have to be on a particular day. Nevertheless, upon finding the correct date of their wissal, I found three different dates: a) 1st Muharram, 24th Hijri (Sayyad Mahmud Qasim, Shahkar Islami Encyclopaedia). b) 26th Dhil Hijjah/First Muharram (Islami Taqribat, Sayyad Mahmud Ahmad Ridwi). c) 1st Muharram (Shane Sahaba, Sayyad Mahmud Ahmad Ridwi) But the Ajmeri calendar also shows, 26th Dhil Hijjah, as I gather that there may be a difference ( ikhtilaf) on the date of the passing away of Sayyadina 'Umar Faruq ( Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu). May Allah the Almighty give us all the tawfiq to remember all of His Beloved Servants.Wallahu Al'amu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
