Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuPraise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved and Final Messenger of Islam, Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa SallamJazakallah for your question. First of all, I would like to say that in the book called the 'Secret of Secrets', by Ghawth al A'zam Shaykh Abd'al-Qadir al-Jilani Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu, it is stated that the Shaykh did have forty nine children, which was stated in the translators notes. This would be true, as it would have been taken from a reliable source, and that no one would ever attribute something false to Ghawth Paak Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu. However I do suggest that you find this book, get in touch with the translator via the book, and E-Mail him/her, asking for the reference of this particular source, and the names of His children, if they are available. There is no harm in doing that, as Insha'Allah I will be willing to recieve a portion of your answer also. May Allah the Almighty help us whole heartedly in seeking the truth, and may He make our lives according to what is true. (Amin)Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
