Assalamoalaykum I have a general question regarding the 7th ayah of Surah Takwir in the 30th sipara of The Quraan Shareef - it is translated as "and when the souls are paired up". Could you please give me a more detailed translation of this ayah - ie, how will the souls be sorted.
Jaza - kallah.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu, Praise be to Allah the Almighty, Lord of the Worlds, and may infinite Blessings shower upon Our Master, the Last Messenger of Islam (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam).Jazakallah for your question. In the thirteenth chapter of the Qur'an al kareem, there is a Surah by the name of Surah Takwir. The seventh verse states: 'Wa idhan nufusu zuwwijat'
'and when the human souls are paired.' According to the exegisis (tafsir), of Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan Na'imi (Rehmatullahi ’Alaih), in his 'Nur ul Irfan', an exegisis upon the famous 'Kanzul Iman' by Imam Ahmad Rida Fadhil-e-Bareilly (Rehmatullahi ’Alaih), Mufti sahib (Rehmatullahi ’Alaih) states: 'The pious servant could be joined up with the pious, and the evil ones with the evil. Or that the souls could be joined up with their bodies, or the inmates of paradise could be married to the heavenly damsels.'This Surah, and verse gives a clear account of what is going to happen at the time of the Day of Judgement, and beyond that time, when the believers shall enter paradise. Such verses of the Noble Qur'an are so interesting in reading, that it gives fear to the reader of what will happen, once our days go by, and start to get old, and what we will face after we die. How we shall enter paradise or hell, and what events shall take place during this process. May Allah the Almighty, make all our deaths, and all our afterlives easy. May He ease the Day of Judgement for us all, and may we be reckoned with by His justice. (Amin).Wallahu A'lamu Biththawaab M. Waseem Ashrafi
