Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Praise be to Allah the Almighty, who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam) Apostates are like traitors of your country, towards another country, who intend on conquering you. Because apostates, are those people who have accepted that there is only one God, and that all His Prophets were true, he in effect will go contrary to these beliefs, as well as cause harm to the religion of Islam, either by declaring war on it, by propogating his religion to be more superior to that of Islam, or by killing innocent people, if they do not listen to what he has to say. In All three cases, Islam has had a very strong stance, and position, especially when one of the above is concerned. People should be free to choose their own religion, by finding out what is true, and what is false, but they should not be made to follow the ideas of a madman, who claims that he has 'seen them all' as there are many differences. Similarly, a man should be able to choose his own religion, so long as he does not contravene the principles of that religion, and so long as the conditions of keeping that religion, are made clear to him, which Islam allows. What is disallowed, is the becoming of a Muslim, later becoming a denier, and then becoming an apostate, claiming false stories against a religion, in the form of a book, or other, which later intends to intimidate a religion, or its people, or people who believe what the religion disallows, as the author Salman Rushdie had, in his book 'Satanic Verses'. To get rid of such actions, which contravene the principals of what is true, good, and acceptable to the people, punishments against such people had been made, unless they were ready to repent, and accept, that there is no evil, against good, that there is no falsehood when it comes to the truth. That had they not gone in the wrong direction, then they would never have been sentenced to death. May Allah the Almighty keep us all firm upon what is true, and may He keep us away from what is false.Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
