Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu.
I would like to know about bone marrow transplant also, can you donate bone marrow to a cancer patient. We in our family put our name down as a relative from the family was suffering and wanted a match. When we signed up for this we were told that once we sign we are obliged to donate to others as well, if a match is not found on this particular case. A match was not found sadly and our names are all still on the register for donors. We were wondering if we die can they take our bone marrow out to donate to others and if yes, what is the implication in islam. Please answer soon as possible.
