Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Can Muslim reply or greets for Muslim or non-Muslim events to non-Muslims? Because in my surrounding many non-Muslim live, and any event they greet me for those events.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa SallamJazak'allah for your question. Muslims should reply to the 'salam' of another, so long as they are Muslims. When a non-Muslim does salam, however, it is not necessary that salam is given in reply. With regard to Muslims greeting non Muslims on their festival days, then this is disallowed in Islam, as Muslims have their own festive days, in which they greet one another. It is not the act of a Muslim to greet a non- Muslim in a religion, or a day which he does not celebrate. Wallahu A'alamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
