Asalam alaikum,
Could you please give the sources for the following hadiths- who quoted them--(where are they taken from):
1-Anas Ibn MalikRadi Allahu anhu reported that once a bedouin came to Allah's Messenger and told him(s.a.w) that he had travelled a long distance and would like to ask the Prophet(s.a.w) some questions. To his questions, Prophet(s.a.w) replied:
"To be an intelligent person-- fear Allah(s.w.t)
To obey Allah and be His loyal servant--Read the Qu'ran
To be enlightened and have peace of heart---remember death
To be protected against enemies-- Trust in Allah
To follow the straight path-- do good to others for Allah(s.w.t)'s sake
To have a long life--Praise and thank Allah
For Prosperity--- be in a state of ablution at all times
To save yourself from hellfire-- protect your eyes, tongues, hands against evil
To cleanse yoursef from sins--- shed tears for what you have done and repent by undoing what you have done wrong
To protect yourself from the tortues of the grave-- recite surah mulk
To be rich-- read surah muzammil
To calm your fear of the last day---remember Allah before you eat anything and before you sleep."
2-"Once Prophet Muhammed(S.a.w) approached AliRadi Allahu anhu and told him to do 5 things every night before going to sleep. They were-a) Pay 4000 dinar as charity b) recite one whole Qur'an c) Pay the price for Janat d) Make peace between two fighting people e) Perform Haj.
On hearing this AliRadi Allahu anhu replied that O Messenger of Allah but this is very difficult to do. Then Prophet(s.a.w) replied:
a)Recite surah fatiha 4 times. The reward for this is equal to paying 4000 dinar b) Recite surah iqlas 3 times. The reward for doing so is equal to reciting one Qur'an c) Read Istiqfar 10 times. It's reward is equal to making peace between two fighting people.d) Read durood shareef 10 times. The reward for doing this equal to paying the price of jannat and e) Recite the third kalimah 3 times. The reward for doing this is equal to performing one Haj.
At this AliRadi Allahu anhu told Prophet Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam that now heRadi Allahu anhu would do the above every night inshallah."
Shukran
