Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
How are you Imam Saab? Hope you and your family are well
I would like to know more about the Sunnah of cupping (removing the bad blood from the body) I am thinking of doing this and need to know how to go about this please Imaam saab. I know that one should not undergo cupping during the 13, 14 and 15 of the lunar month, according to the hadith but can a Muslim get the cupping done by a non Muslim i.e chinese therapist? sorry to be so vague but would appreciate as much info as possible on this topic so I know exactly what to do and what not to do.
Jazakallah

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuPraise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa SallamJazak'Allah for your valued question however I think there are many more important sunnahs of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam), than just cupping. I say that because it is a method, which is very ancient, and just because you are not able to do it, does not mean that you are missing out on something. Also, once you do start to 'cup', then it must be undertaken regularly, for the process of bad blood to be cleaned has to continue. In short, keeping the full lenghth beard, using a miswak, praying five times salaah, listening to your parents, having good manners, are the main sunnahs we should focus on. Why should we go over and beyond our limit, to have 'cupping', when none of the above are fulfilled? I hope I have not put you off as this is not my intention. However, if you do have the above qualities, and are a practising Muslim, then I will be obliged to answer any further question you put to me. Wallahu Alam BiththawaabM.
