Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
could you please explain this hadith in detail.
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu) narrated that the Prophet (sall Allaho alaihi wasallam) is reported to have said, “If a house fly falls into the drink of anyone of you, he should dip it (in the drink), for one of its wings has a disease and the other has the cure for the disease." (Bukhari)

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa SallamJazak'allah for your valued question. This hadith in fact shows the sight of the Most Beloved Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam, even in regard to a fly. He - the Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam had identified something not even the scientists of modern day could identify, and that is, that every fly carries a cure and a disease. The Beloved Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam prescribed for us a method in that day and age, which could be made applicable in this day and age, if necessary. The prescription is that in the event of a fly falling into your drink, then one must dip the fly into the drink wholly, and then throw it out, as one of the wings carries a disease, and if that is the wing that carries the disease, it may be neutralised by dipping into the drink, the wing of cure. Although this may seem somewhat unhygienic in modern times, as we still can dispose of our drink in the event of this happening, nevertheless in a place and time where drink was scarce, poverty reigned and in a country where water was hardly to be found, we still see that the Most Beloved Prophet of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam's teachings were solely for the benefit of His nation ( ummah), so that no hardships ever overcame them, and even if they did, there was a method which could be followed. May Allah the Almighty help us all to become the true followers of His Beloved Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, and may He make our worldly life, and our Hereafter beneficial for us through His means. (Amin)Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
