Explanation of a hadeeth

Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH

I was just having a look at some hadeeths on the hadeeth search on yanabi.com, and I came across this hadeeth, I was just wondering about the bit that I have underlined that how come the prophet Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam was not granted permission.

Abu Huraira reported: The Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) visited the grave of his mother and he wept, and moved others around him to tears, and said: I sought permission from my Lord to beg forgiveness for her but it was not granted to me, and I sought permission to visit her grave and it was granted to motel So visit the graves, for that makes you mindful of death.

I understand now, that these najdis and deobandies go astray as they try to be clever themselves and take the meanings themselves, its not something anybody can do, and you definitley need a teacher unlike them interpreting everything themselves.
I will definitley need to be careful with this, just make dua inshallah.
(Do u think it would be ok for me to refer to the online hadeeth software sometimes when posting on forum or should I just leave it, because when I do come across a difficult hadeeth then I get crazy najdi thoughts, but then on the other hand it is really good sometimes aswell???)

But if you can kindly explain that to me, if possible, I'd be very greatful

All Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam


Two issues arise from this excellent hadith that you have quoted. May Allah grant us all the tawfiq to state that which is true. (Amin).


Firstly:

'I sought permission from my Lord to beg forgiveness for her but it was not granted to me,'

Permission here was not granted because, Allah the Almighty knew that the Beloved Messenger Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam had dwelled in the ennobled stomach of his mother for a period of 9 months, so why did He Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam want to ask for forgiveness when she was already forgiven. Since He Subhanahu wa Ta'ala swears, by those places by which the feet of the Beloved Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam have touched, then why would He want to punish His mother, whose blood was running through His Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam veins? This is the answer for all those critics, who claim that the mother and the father of the Beloved and Most Glorious Prophet Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam's mother and father were not Muslim, or were sinful, or whatever else they claim.


Does it not say that the earth which is touching the Ennobled Grave of the Beloved Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam is more excellent than the Throne?

Fat'hul Mulhim Sharh Sahih Muslim, states this, and so does Fatawa Shami.


Then why was the permission granted to visit the grave, if according to the Najdis, the parents of Sayyidina Rasulullah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam were not Muslim?


This is it, because they were Muslim, for if they were not Muslim, then it would have been forbidden for the Beloved Prophet Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam to visit their graves, but because they are, permission was granted, yet not the need for 'istighfar', as this was also granted to them, although the Beloved Messenger Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam did not need reminding.


I hope that you understand these two points, and how they are distinct from each other.
