Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem.
Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu.
It is possible that a person be connected to more than one spiritual lineage through their pir-o-murshid, who should also be one.
For example, i would not be wrong in saying that 'the silsilah-e-Asharafiyyah' is the only silsilah in the world that is both 'Qadri' and 'Chishti' ordered. Similarly, someone who has a khilafah from the Naqshbandi order, may also have a khilafah from the Qadri order, this is perfectly normal.
This normally occurs when some of our pious predecessors, have gained the 'ijazah' and the 'khilafah' from more than one shaykh.
If you see the biography of Hadrat Shaykh-ul-Islam, or Hadrat Ghazi-e-Millat, or many of the orthodox Sunni 'Ulama' of the ahl-as-Sunnah, they will have khilafah, and 'ijazah' from more than one silsilah, which ennables them to become a shaykh.
Thank you for the question that you have asked.
Wallahu A'lamu Biththawaab.
M. Waseem Ashrafi.
