Assalam o alaykum.,
For the sake of better understanding, kindly clarify the issue of celebrating the Meelad Shareef in various ways by different countries and communities of the world against the 'wahabi' argument that there is no evidence the Blessed Companions and The Ta'biyeen did likewise thus branding it an act of bidah.
Jaza kAllah Khayr.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa’laykum 'Assalaam, Celebrating Milaad Sharif is an act of Ibaadah. Not an act of bid’ah. Milaad Sharif includes performing wudu’/ghusl according to the Sunnah, wearing the best of Islamic clothing, wearing perfume (ittar), reciting Durud Sharif repetitively, telling your friends and family that there is a Milaad gathering on a specific day, at a specific place, and a specific time, joining in with the procession (julus) and demonstration of Milaad Sharif, reciting the Qur’aan al-Karim, praising the Beloved Prophet (peace and blessings upon him and his family) with naat/madah sharif, giving speeches/lectures on the arrival of the Beloved Prophet (peace and blessings upon him and his family) to this world, speaking of His Great Character, His Miracles, His Family Lineage (upon be peace), standing up and reciting Salaat-wa-Salaam at the time of His (peace be upon Him’s) arrival, the showing of the Blessed Hair and all the other relics that are attributed to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon Him), distributing food, having such blessed food, recitation over food, giving in the name of the Beloved Prophet (peace be upon Him), whether it is in the form of money, time, or effort, are all forms of ibaadah. For each and every single thing mentioned proofs from the Qur’aan, Hadith, Tafsir, sayings of Imams, Muhaddithin, Salihin, actions of the Noble Sahaabah, actions of even the Kuffar of Makkah, and most of all, the commandment of Allah, that ‘rejoice the greatest blessing that I have bestowed upon you’ are all proofs of commemorating Milaad Sharif, that it is permissible (ja’iz), and that it is not haraam. That it is commendable (mustahsin) amongst the acts of worship, and reward is indeed given not only for the performance of such actions, but also for the intention of such actions. The Qur’an is full of proofs of such an ‘ibaadah, where there is no statement of its prohibition, although there may not have been such actions amongst the tabi’in. but to say this is also a doubt, as it is us who does not have the knowledge of them commemorating it, as if they did, or even agreed to it, then it is we who are sinning, claiming that they wer’nt involved in that act of worship. However if they did prohibit us, then where are the prohibitions, and what is the status/rank/qualification of such prohibitions. Is it from the Qur’aan, Sunnah, or is it a saying of a scholar? Allah has ordered us to rejoice, so long as it is in the boundaries of the Shar’iyyah. In the minority of cases, where unlawful gatherings are given the name Milaad, (not that I have come across any), then these are prohibited. These include the mixing of men and women, women reciting in front of unknown men, having dance and music are all prohibited. Otherwise there are no limits to the states a man may experience during such blessed ghatherings, where people show their passion/ecstatic states/ and selflessness. Wallaaho a’lamo bitthawaab.
