Assalam-o-Alaikum, I've believed that Allah Taa'la is everywhere, now i've found out that it is not permissible to believe that and also not permissible to believe that He is in the sky(as the wahabis believe). If it is not allowed to believe that He is everywhere, then what is the Aqeedah??
JazakAllah Khair. Allah Hafiz.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu,All Praise be to Allah, who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam)Jazak'Allah for your valued question. The aqidah regarding Allah the Almighty can be read in the tafsirs of Surah al-Ikhlas (Qul Huwallahu ahad). This surah specifically specifies what the belief is, in relation to Allah the Almighty. Allah is one, He has no partner. He is free from all things. Just as we need certain things in life, to live on. He has no daughter or son, nor has He any mother or father. As He has no equal.Space, light, and volume do not encompass Him, as He is beyond them, and He has created them, nor can time encompass Him, as He is the One who has created time.Although Allah the Almighty, has given us the Qur'an al kareem, and in it He has referred to certain things that have been attributed to Him, nevertheless, it is the belief of the Ahl as-Sunnah wal Jama'ah that He has no need of these things. His hand may mean His authority, or His face may mean the Truth. What He has said about Himself is solely for the underastanding of our purpose. Because what we have in our brains, or what we percieve through our senses, is very limited, as He is the Unlimited. Allah is the name of the Creator. He has 99 names, but only one is regarded as the Essence. That is Allah. The other 98 names are all His attributes, which describe His being. Finally, many scholars have said that Allah the Almighty lives in the hearts of men. That to have belief in Him, and to adhere to His commands, is to be close to Him, just as the Dhikr of Allah makes one close to Him, but this also is so that man may understand, with what little he has, that there is a creator, and how He could be understood. May Allah the Almighty help us all to believe in Him in the manner we should believe in Him, and may He erase all kinds of false beliefs, from within us, that we attribute to Him.Wallahu A'lamu BiththawaabM.
