Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa SallamJazak'allah for your question. According to the knowledge of numbers, which is known as 'ilm-ul-a'dad, the sentence: 'Bismillah ir rahman irahim' .... has a number assigned to each of the letters. For example the ' ba' has a number 2 assigned to it, the ' sin' has a number 60 assigned to it, the 'mim' has a number 40 assigned to it. Similarly, all the letters of the 'bismillah' have numbers assigned to them, then all the numbers are added, then divided by the number of letters, which should give you 786. It is used as an abbreviation of 'Bismillah', instead of writing the ' Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem', and occasionally ending up throwing it away, which is a bit disrespectful. Whatever the E-mails say, it doesnt really matter. How can an abbreviation of ' Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem' have a link to the Nasarah? It could only mean that they should accept the religion of Islam, if it does have a link with them! This question, has been answered previously in depth, see the links below for further guidance.
