Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem ASALATU WASALAMU ALAYKA YA RASULLALLAH Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Most respected Imam may Allah keep you well...
Imam saheb could you explain the following verse:
"Any one who, after accepting faith in Allah, utters Unbelief, except under compulsion, his heart remaining firm in Faith, but such as open their breast to Unbelief, on them is Wrath from Allah, and theirs will be a dreadful Penalty." [Yusufali 16:106]
Because I'm having a discussion with a Shia who says that Taqiyah (concealing the truth) is permissable according to the above ayyat. But on every Ahle Sunnah website I read that Taqiyyah is forbidden. That Taqiyyah is a false doctrine of the Shia's...
May Allah increase our knowledge... Wassalamu 'alaikum

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam wa Rahmatullahi wa BarakatuhuAll Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa SallamJazak'allah for your question. The translation of the verse in Surah an Nahl, verse 106 is translated as: 'Whoever denies Allah after beleiving in Him, save Him who is compelled and his heart is firm on belief, yes whoever becomes an infidel with an open heart, upon them is the wrath of Allah, and for them is a great punishment'As a general rule, by rejecting the laws of Allah the Almighty, and His Most Beloved Prophet Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, this would be a rejection of Allah the Almighty. The reason for the revelation of this verse, is related to Hadrat 'Ammar bin Yasir Radi Allahu anhu, as the kuffar of Makkah had captured his parents, and tortured them, to the extent that they killed them, because they tried to turn them into apostates. These were the first two people to give their lives in the name of Islam. Hadrat 'Ammar was too weak to bear the torture of the infidels, and as a result he repeated what they wanted him to say, then he came weeping to the Beloved Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, seeing this, the Beloved Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam dried his tears, with his own blessed hands. This is how this verse was revealed. The religious issues which derive from this holy verse are as follows: a) To utter the words of infidelity when the life is endangered is permissible, on condition that ones faith is still deeply rooted in ones heart. Having uttered this, one must leave such a place and no longer remain there. However if he doesnt utter the words of infidelity for which he is killed, he would be a martyr entitled to a great reward. b) All the good deeds of an apostate are ruined and he becomes worse than an actual infidel. The errors of the pious servants of Allah the Almighty turn out to be a blessing and bounty for the others. Hadrat Mawlana Jalal al-Din Rumi Rehmatullahi ’Alaihsays, a sincere error becomes a path of guidance for the people. A collective infidelity becomes a path of infidelity for the people. This verse does not prove in any way the pretentious piety of the Shi'a Rafidites, because they only utter infidelity to save their own lives, while through pretentious piety they deliberately utter falsehood to deceive people. It is for this reason that the order for a genuinely helpless person is that after uttering infidelity under compulsion, he should immediately run away from such a place. As soon as such a helpless situation has been overcome, he should publically declare his faith once more. (Exegisis of Kanzul Iman, also known as Nurul Irfan, by Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan Na'imi Rehmatullahi ’Alaih). Wallahu A'almu BiththawaabM. Waseem Ashrafi
