Bismillahir Rahmànir Rahïm Wa'alaykum 'Assalam, The questioner has given me a somewhat misleading question. The significance of Easter to Christians remains what is their belief. But Islàm does not look at Easter from the Christians prospective. Jazàkallàh M Waseem Ashrafi

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Wa'alaykum 'Assalam, Easter is not actually an Islàmic festival. It is not either referenced in the Qur’àn al kareem, the Sunnah, or by the consensus of Muslims. However, this does not mean that the Muslims do not have their festivals, because they do. With regard to crucifixion, the Qur’àn al kareem denies this as it is stated: “wa mà qataluhu wa mà salabuhþ wa làkin Shubbiha lahum” He was not killed, nor was he crucified, but one had been turned like him for them. This verse is a clear explanation, from the qur’àn, that Hadrat Eisà (alayhis-salàm) was not crucified, that he is still alive, and that he will return, closer to Judgment Day. Ma'assalam M Waseem Ashrafi
