Aslaam o'Leikum
This may seem like a silly question which I might already know the answer to... but just asking to make sure.
Are women allowed to get their belly buttons or eyebrows pierced? What are we allowed to get pierced?
Jazahk'ala

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu, Praise be to Allah the Lord of the Worlds. Endless blessings be upon His Messenger Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam.Jazakallah for your question. Although it does not clearly specify that women 'have' pierced their bodies, from the Qur'an al kareem or the Sunnah, nevertheless, it has been common practice for the women, especially in the subcontinent, to pierce their ears, and their noses. I gather that the west too looks, or has looked upon places like the subcontinent, or parts of Africa's females, and it has too realised that the woman does wear items like gold, do have their ears, and noses pierced, and do like to look good. As far as belly buttons, lips, eyebrows, tongues, and other parts of the bodies are concerned, then there is no proof of this from the Qur'an or the Sunnah, nor has it been an established practice of the Muslim women from around the world. It is a mere way of looking good towards other males especially, so that their desires can be drawn, and Islam does not allow this under any circumstances whatsoever. There is nothing wrong with the woman making herself up, but solely for the purpose of her husband. Actually Islam encourages for the women to look good for their husbands, as it maintains, and closens relationship. As far as the rest of the world is concerned, then it is Islamically, traditionally, and practically disallowed. May Allah the Almighty help us to keep shame with us all the time infront of whomever. May He help us to lead the simple Islamic lives, of real Muslims.Wallahu A'lamu Biththawaab M. Waseem Ashrafi
